Richmond Suites Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Richmond Suites Hotel on Calle 93, you immediately get that feeling of being somewhere that actually gets it right. This four-star property sits in Chapinero — honestly one of the best neighborhoods in Bogotá if you want to be where things are happening. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t try too hard, and the staff genuinely seems happy to see you rather than just going through the motions.
The Chapinero Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re literally in the heart of Zona Rosa, which means you can walk to some of the city’s best restaurants and bars without dealing with Bogotá’s notorious traffic. The hotel sits on a tree-lined street that feels residential but you’re actually steps away from everything. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.2, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can grab coffee at Juan Valdez around the corner, hit up the trendy spots on Zona T, or just wander the neighborhood and stumble onto something great.
The Room Experience
The suites here are what really set this place apart from your typical business hotel. Each room feels more like a well-appointed apartment than a standard hotel setup — there’s actually space to spread out and live a little. The beds are properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms have that satisfying weight to the fixtures that tells you someone cared about the details. What really impressed me was how quiet everything stays despite being on a busy street — the windows actually work.
Practical Perks
The American-style breakfast is solid without being fancy — think quality ingredients done well rather than an overwhelming buffet situation. They’ve got free parking on-site, which honestly might be worth the stay alone if you’re dealing with a rental car in this city. The restaurant serves decent international food, though with Chapinero’s dining scene right outside, you’ll probably want to explore. The staff speaks excellent English, which helps when you’re trying to navigate dinner reservations or figure out the best way to get to La Candelaria.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the flashiest hotel in Bogotá, but it’s the kind of place that just works really well. You’re paying for location, comfort, and service that doesn’t feel scripted — and you’re getting all three. The neighborhood gives you that authentic Bogotá experience without feeling like you’re roughing it, and the hotel itself strikes that perfect balance between professional and welcoming. Plus, when couples are rating the location this highly, you know you’re somewhere special. It’s the sort of place where you’ll actually want to come back to your room at the end of the day rather than just crash there.
To book a hotel in Bogota during Christmas lights, guests pair Monserrate funicular rides with Usaquen market strolls.

My experience at Richmond Suite Hotel on Calle 93 in Bogotá was quite positive. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff members who made me feel very welcome.
The location of the hotel on Calle 93 was a real highlight. It's a bustling area with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and a nice park within walking distance. This made exploring the neighborhood (zona T) and trying out local cuisine incredibly convenient.
Upon entering my room, I was pleased to find a clean and well-maintained space. The international breakfast buffet offered a nice selection as well!
Throughout my stay, the hotel staff remained attentive and ready to assist with any inquiries I had. From recommendations for local attractions to helping with transportation arrangements, their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile were greatly appreciated.
The only minor downside I encountered was that I had to pay an extra for an early check-in, but it was fine.
