Hotel Jazz Apartments Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Jazz Apartments in Bogotá’s trendy Chapinero neighborhood, you immediately get the sense that this place knows what it’s doing. The lobby has this understated elegance — not trying too hard, but clearly well-thought-out. I mean, when a four-star property consistently pulls in repeat guests more than most other hotels in the city, there’s obviously something special happening here. The staff greets you with genuine warmth, and honestly, that sets the tone for everything else.
The Chapinero Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re right in the heart of one of Bogotá’s most vibrant districts, but it doesn’t feel chaotic. Chapinero is where locals actually want to hang out, with its mix of cafés, bars, and restaurant that haven’t been completely overtaken by tourists yet. The hotel sits on Calle 87, which puts you within walking distance of Zona Rosa’s nightlife and some seriously good local eateries. Couples especially seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.4 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally understand why.
The Room Experience
The room setup here is what really sets this place apart from typical hotels. These are proper apartment with space to actually live, not just crash for the night. The beds — and I’m picky about this — are genuinely comfortable. You know how hotels sometimes promise great sleep but deliver mediocre mattresses? Not here. The kitchen facilities are well-equipped too, which is perfect if you want to grab fresh ingredients from one of the local markets and cook something up. There’s also free private parking available, which anyone who’s driven in Bogotá will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
Food That Actually Delivers
The breakfast buffet deserves its own mention — it’s one of those spreads that makes you want to wake up early rather than rush through it. Fresh tropical fruits, proper Colombian coffee (obviously), and enough variety that you won’t get bored even if you’re staying for a week. But honestly, what impressed me more was how the hotel’s restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The staff clearly knows the neighborhood’s food scene inside and out, and they’re not just pointing you toward tourist traps.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a place that earns an 8.9 rating and keeps people coming back. The combination of location, comfort, and that apartment-style setup creates this perfect balance — you get hotel services when you want them, but you also have the independence to explore Bogotá at your own pace. The fact that it’s in the best-rated area of the city doesn’t hurt either. Whether you’re here for business or just want to experience Bogotá like someone who actually lives here, this place gets it right without making a big show of it.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Bogota around Quinta Camacho for tree-lined streets, concept cafes, and bike repair pop-ups.

Great location, in front of the Parque el Virrey. If possible get a room with a balcony, it's great to watch the locals running and cycling around the park in the morning

It was our first trip to Colombia, to Bogota, so I was very happy that we started and ended our trip with this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, The area where the hotel is located is secure and there is a lively street close to it filled with restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was splendid: diverse and delicious (generous! as well; honestly, the best one I had in Colombia). I end my text with the mention of Ronald, an amazing person and service-oriented staff working at the hotel restaurant. Honestly, he made our stay in Bogota so special with his kindness, attention, good advice and smiles. Ronald, if you ever happen to read this message, thank you again and so much for everything you have done for us. If we ever come back to Colombia, Jazz Apartments is going to be our first check box!

This hotel is my favorite in Bogota. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good but the bread could be better.
