Hotel Regency Suites La Feria Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Regency Suites La Feria, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something well-established — this isn’t some flashy newcomer trying too hard. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels genuinely Colombian rather than generic international hotel. What struck me right away was how the staff seemed to actually recognize returning guests, which makes sense when you learn this place has more repeat visitors than most hotels in the area. There’s something to be said for a place that keeps people coming back, you know?
The Teusaquillo Advantage
Honestly, the location in Bogotá‘s Teusaquillo neighborhood is pretty brilliant — it’s one of those spots that locals know but tourists often overlook. You’re close enough to the action without dealing with the chaos of the historic center or the pretension of Zona Rosa. The couples who stay here absolutely love it (they rate the location 8.8), and I can see why. You can walk to decent restaurants, there’s actual parking available, and you’re not fighting tourist crowds every time you step outside. Plus, getting to the airport or other parts of the city is actually manageable from here.
The Room Experience
The room itself feels more like a proper suite than your typical hotel setup — there’s space to actually spread out and live a little. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two, having room to breathe makes all the difference. The furnishings lean toward classic rather than trendy, which works well for this four-star property. Everything functions properly (always a relief in South America), and the beds are genuinely comfortable. The bathrooms are well-maintained, though not particularly fancy — just solid and clean, which is what you really want anyway.
Breakfast and Daily Rhythms
The breakfast buffet deserves a mention because it’s one of those things that can make or break your morning routine when you’re traveling. They do a proper spread with both international options and Colombian touches — you’ll find decent coffee (this is Colombia, after all) and fresh fruit alongside the usual suspects. The dining area gets good natural light, so it’s actually pleasant to linger over breakfast rather than rushing through it. It’s the kind of restaurant setup where you might find yourself chatting with other guests, especially since many of them are return visitors who seem to know the rhythm of the place.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is that it feels like a neighborhood hotel that happens to be really good at what it does, rather than a corporate property trying to be everything to everyone. The 8.3 rating reflects exactly what you get — solid, reliable, comfortable accommodations with staff who care about doing things right. Recent guests consistently rate it highly (9.0 for location), and when you’re there, you understand why people keep coming back. It’s not trying to wow you with gimmicks, just providing a genuinely pleasant place to stay in a city that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Best hotels in Bogota mix rooftop hot tubs, emerald cocktail bars, and chef-led ajiaco tastings.
