Hotel Bogota Resort Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Bogota Resort in the Teusaquillo neighborhood, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical business hotel. The four-star property has this relaxed, almost residential feel that honestly surprised me — I mean, you’re still in the heart of Bogotá, but somehow the city noise feels miles away. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between polished and welcoming, and the staff genuinely seems happy to see you rather than just going through the motions. Every detail, from the thoughtfully arranged seating areas to the ambient lighting, contributes to an atmosphere that feels more like a sophisticated home than a corporate establishment.
The Teusaquillo Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — Teusaquillo is one of those neighborhoods that locals actually live in, not just where tourists get shuffled. You’ve got authentic Colombian life happening right outside your door, with family-run cafés and small shops that close for lunch like they should. The area feels safe for evening walks, and you know what? Couples consistently rate this spot 8.9 out of 10, which tells you something about the romantic vibe of wandering these tree-lined streets together. The neighborhood offers genuine cultural immersion, with galleries, local markets, and traditional restaurants within easy reach, making it an ideal base for travelers seeking authentic experiences.
Room Experience
The room I stayed in was larger than expected — actually spacious enough to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. What struck me most was how quiet everything was; the windows do a solid job of keeping the city at bay. The beds are properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathroom setup works well for getting ready without bumping into your travel companion every five minutes. Modern amenities blend seamlessly with thoughtful design choices that prioritize guest comfort and functionality throughout the space.
Morning Fuel
Breakfast here leans American-style, which might sound boring but honestly hits the spot when you’re planning a full day of exploring. They do the classics well — decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since dawn, eggs cooked how you actually ordered them, and enough variety to keep you satisfied. I noticed quite a few guests who were clearly regulars, chatting with staff like old friends, which always makes me feel like I’ve stumbled onto something good. The dining area maintains a relaxed atmosphere where both business travelers and leisure guests feel equally at home.
Why Guests Love It
The repeat guest thing really shows here — there’s something about this place that brings people back, and I think it’s the combination of being genuinely well-located without feeling touristy. You’re close enough to reach Bogotá’s main attractions without much fuss, but you’re staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood secret. The staff remembers preferences, the service feels personal rather than scripted, and the whole experience just works without trying too hard to impress you. This hotel succeeds because it understands that true hospitality means making guests feel valued as individuals rather than room numbers.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Bogota before ciclovia Sundays fill boutique stays with cyclists.

This was an incredibly comfortable, cute room. The bed & shower were great. The price was inexpensive. The wifi was very strong! Excellent option! I could've easily moved to another hotel, but I kept choosing to stay there instead because I really liked it. The breakfast was yummy!

People very nice!!

We were not at breakfast due to early flights. Front desk was very helpful in getting us transportation on our return trip where a private vehicle took us to tourist areas for less than one tour for one person would have cost.

I previously left a review, but I wanted to add: it's been two weeks since I first stayed at this hotel and they still have a hold on my debit card from booking through this website. I paid. Why do they still have holds on my cards??? I would think twice before booking this hotel through a website that requires a bank card because they won't release the hold for 2+ weeks

Everything close to the airport shuttle and the buffet breakfast
