Orange Wild Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into Orange Wild, I’ll be honest — the name had me curious, and the place didn’t disappoint in terms of character. This three-star hotel sits in the Fontibón district of Bogotá, and while it might not scream sophistication, there’s something refreshingly straightforward about it. The lobby has this modern, no-nonsense vibe that immediately tells you this is a place that focuses on getting the basics right rather than overwhelming you with fancy touches.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciated about the location — Fontibón isn’t the touristy heart of Bogotá, but that’s actually part of its charm. You’re close enough to El Dorado International Airport that you won’t stress about early flights, but far enough into the city that you get a real sense of how locals live. The couples who stay here seem to really get this balance (they rate the location 8.2, which honestly makes sense). You know what’s great? You can easily grab a taxi or Uber to the historic center, but when you come back in the evening, you’re in a quieter neighborhood where you can actually get some rest.
The Room Experience
My room was clean and functional — exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star property. The beds are comfortable enough, and I mean, after a long day exploring Bogotá’s hills and museums, that’s really what matters. The air conditioning works well (crucial in this climate), and there’s decent Wi-Fi throughout the building. Don’t expect designer furniture or marble bathrooms, but everything you need is there and it’s well-maintained.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast situation is actually pretty solid here. They offer continental, buffet, and even breakfast to go — which, let me tell you, is perfect if you’re catching an early flight or heading out for a day trip. The buffet has a good mix of Colombian staples and international options, so you won’t go hungry. I particularly liked that they understood travelers have different schedules, so the grab-and-go option shows they’re thinking about real guest needs. There isn’t a full restaurant on-site, but honestly, you’re in Bogotá — some of the best food in the city is just a short ride away.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about Orange Wild is that it knows exactly what it is. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly (8.1), and I think that’s because it strikes this perfect balance between accessibility and authenticity. You’re not paying for amenities you don’t need, but you’re getting reliable service, clean accommodations, and a location that actually makes sense for exploring the city. The staff seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and there’s adequate parking if you’re brave enough to drive in Bogotá traffic. For travelers who want a comfortable base without the premium price tag, this place delivers on its promises.

Was very dirty, not soap at the washroom, the window that goes to the corridor has a gap in between the window and the wall which allows people from the outside see the inside.
