Hotel Radel Superior Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Hotel Radel Superior, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical business hotel — there’s something more polished about the whole operation. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels authentically Colombian rather than trying too hard to be international. I mean, it’s clearly a four-star property, but they’ve managed to keep that boutique hotel charm that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Bogotá.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location in Teusaquillo is pretty brilliant — you’re right in this sweet spot where locals actually live and work, but you can still walk to the major attractions without feeling like a tourist trapped in hotel row. The neighborhood has character, you know? There are proper cafés where people read newspapers, little shops that aren’t just selling souvenirs, and the kind of street life that gives you a real sense of the city. Couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.2, which honestly makes perfect sense when you experience it), and I can see why — it’s romantic without being overly touristy.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was actually larger than I expected, with these big windows that let in tons of natural light during the day. The design strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and local touches — nothing too flashy, but everything works exactly as it should. The bed was genuinely comfortable (sometimes you can’t tell until you’ve spent a full night), and the bathroom had good water pressure, which honestly matters more than people admit when you’re dealing with Bogotá’s altitude.

Breakfast & Dining

The continental breakfast is solid — not groundbreaking, but they do it well with fresh local fruits that you might not find elsewhere and decent coffee (which, let’s be honest, should be a given in Colombia). What I really appreciated was that they seem to understand travelers’ schedules, so you’re not rushed through breakfast like you’re on some kind of assembly line. The restaurant area has this relaxed vibe where you can actually sit and plan your day without feeling like you need to vacate your table immediately.

Why Guests Love It

There’s this overall sense that the staff actually cares about your experience — not in that over-the-top way that feels forced, but more like they genuinely want you to enjoy Bogotá. They’ll give you real recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots, and they understand that sometimes you need practical help with things like transportation or finding a good place for dinner. The whole place just feels well-run without being stuffy, and in a city like Bogotá where you want to feel secure and comfortable while still experiencing the real culture, that balance is actually pretty rare.

To book hotel in Bogota for the Ibero-American Theater Festival, travelers grab Chapinero terraces with Andes views.

Reviews of Hotel Radel Superior

  • Mariaesilda from United States (8/10)

The Hotel is really close to the US Embassy. We were able to walk there. The hotel was clean and nicely maintained.

  • Julian from Colombia (9/10)

    Pretty much all.

  • Carlos from United States (8/10)

I wasn't expecting this place to be the Hilton, Marriott, or Hyatt, but it is a great way to save money if you need to stay for over two weeks. Price is great if you need to stay for a long period of time during the US Embassy process for visas. Walking distance is very close and there are many places to eat walking distance if you are on a budget. Bus stop is nearby that have routes throughout Bogota and many taxi cars on the main road any time of the day or night.
