Hotel Coco Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Coco feels like discovering a well-kept secret in the heart of Chapinero. This four-star boutique property sits right on Calle 70a, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. The lobby has this warm, intimate vibe that immediately tells you this isn’t your typical corporate hotel — there’s character here, you know what I mean? The moment you step through the doors, you sense the care taken in every detail.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re basically in the sweet spot of Bogotá, where the city’s creative energy really comes alive. Chapinero is where locals actually hang out — think trendy cafés, art galleries, and some of the best nightlife in the city just steps from your door. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.4, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to Zona Rosa in about ten minutes, but you’re far enough away that you won’t deal with the tourist crowds every time you step outside. The neighborhood truly captures the pulse of modern Bogotá.
The Room Experience
The rooms at Hotel Coco strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter corporate — you’ll find local artwork on the walls and details that actually reflect Colombian culture. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-speak comfortable), and the bathrooms are well-appointed without being over the top. What I really appreciated was the attention to lighting — both natural light during the day and warm, ambient lighting for evenings. These spaces invite you to truly relax and unwind.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast buffet here is actually worth getting up for, which isn’t something I say lightly. They’ve got a solid mix of international options and local Colombian specialties, so you can ease into the day with familiar favorites or dive into something new. The coffee — well, this is Colombia, so of course it’s excellent. The restaurant area has this relaxed atmosphere where you can linger over your meal without feeling rushed, and the staff genuinely seems to care about your experience rather than just going through the motions. Dining here becomes part of the authentic experience.
Why Guests Love It
Hotel Coco works because it feels authentic without sacrificing comfort. You’re staying somewhere that locals would actually recommend, not just another international chain that could be anywhere in the world. The 8.8 rating reflects what you’ll experience — consistently good service, a prime location that puts you in the middle of everything interesting, and that rare quality of feeling like you’re getting insider access to the real Bogotá. Whether you’re here for business or exploring the city, this place gives you a genuine base that enhances rather than complicates your stay. It’s the kind of hotel that makes you want to return.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Coco Hotel during my business trip to Bogotá. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home even though I was only there for a single night. The highlight of my visit was the fantastic cocktails and snacks at Café Radio Estrella – an unforgettable experience! I only wish I had more time to enjoy everything this gem of a hotel has to offer. I will definitely be coming back!
