Hotel Bogota DC Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel Bogota DC, you immediately get that comfortable, no-nonsense vibe that makes you feel like you’ve found a solid home base in the city. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — this three-star property in the Engativá neighborhood knows exactly what it does well and delivers on those promises. The lobby has a clean, modern feel without being sterile, and honestly, the staff greeting feels genuinely warm rather than rehearsed.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really appreciate about this spot in Bogotá — you’re positioned in a residential area that feels authentically Colombian, but you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere. Engativá gives you that local neighborhood experience where you can grab coffee at corner shops and see how people actually live here. The location consistently gets high marks from guests (recent visitors rated it 8.7), and I can see why. You know what’s particularly nice? Couples seem to love it here — they’ve given the area an 8.6 rating, probably because it feels safe for evening walks and has that cozy, lived-in atmosphere.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to get a good night’s sleep. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathroom was spotless, and I mean genuinely clean, not just surface-level tidy.
Breakfast & Daily Rhythms
The American-style breakfast here is straightforward and filling — think eggs, toast, coffee, and fruit rather than anything elaborate. It’s the kind of meal that sets you up properly for a day of exploring without making you feel sluggish. I actually found myself looking forward to the morning routine there, sitting with other travelers and getting tips about what to see around the city. The coffee is decent too, which matters when you’re adjusting to Bogotá’s altitude.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back here is the reliability factor — this place delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. The 7.9 guest rating reflects that consistency, and after staying there, I get it. You’re not paying for bells and whistles you don’t need, but you’re getting a clean, safe, well-located place to sleep with friendly service. It’s particularly good for couples who want to experience a more residential side of Bogotá while still having easy access to the city center. The neighborhood feels secure for evening strolls, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that locals actually live and work, rather than in a tourist bubble.
Exploring Bogota blends colonial plazas, cloud forests, and sizzling arepa grills.

Reviews of Hotel Bogota DC
Paez from Colombia (8/10)
Hi. I selected a hotel instead of an Airbnb because of the security. And this hotel provides this security that I wanted. Staff helps you a lot. They are very friendly, from the chef to the cleaners.
If you need any advice related to the city. They can give you that, just ask for them, they’re always there to help you.
Was my first time with my brother in the city, I was concerned about the taxis and the mobility in the city. However, the location is perfect, is near of everything. If you want to go to downtown, best restaurants, airport, malls, or a place for a concert uber cost you no more than 25k or 30k COP.Harry from New Zealand (8/10)
