Hotel bh La Quinta Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Hotel bh La Quinta, you immediately get that feeling — you know, when a place just clicks. It’s not trying too hard to impress, but there’s something polished about the whole operation that tells you they’ve figured things out. The lobby has this understated elegance that feels authentically Colombian rather than generic international hotel, and honestly, that’s refreshing in Bogotá where so many places feel like they could be anywhere.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about the Chapinero location — you’re right in the heart of one of Bogotá’s most vibrant neighborhoods without being stuck in the touristy chaos. Carrera 5 puts you walking distance from some seriously good restaurants and cafes, plus the Zona Rosa nightlife is just a few blocks away when you’re ready for that. The couples who stay here aren’t wrong to rave about it (apparently they rate it 9.7, which is pretty impressive). You can actually walk to most places you’d want to go, and when you can’t, getting a taxi or Uber is never a problem from this spot.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid four-star property — well-appointed without being flashy. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom had good water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in Bogotá. What struck me was the attention to details — decent lighting for actually reading, enough outlets where you need them, and windows that actually open if you want fresh air instead of just AC. The space felt thoughtfully designed for both work and relaxation.
Breakfast & Dining
The American-style breakfast works well here, though I mean, you’re in Colombia — I’d probably venture out for some proper local coffee and arepas at least once. But when you want something familiar and reliable, the hotel’s restaurant delivers. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing, and the service has that efficient-but-friendly vibe that makes mornings easier when you’re dealing with travel fatigue or jet lag. The dining experience reflects the hotel’s overall commitment to quality.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a place that earns repeat customers, and apparently this hotel has more than most. After staying here, I get it — it’s the kind of place that doesn’t surprise you with hidden fees or disappointing service. The 9.1 rating feels earned rather than inflated. You’re paying for reliability and a great location, and you actually get both. For Bogotá, where the hotel scene can be unpredictable, that consistency is worth quite a bit. Plus, the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you have what you need, which makes all the difference when you’re navigating a new city.

Great place to call as a home when in Bogota. The area feels super safe and is a perfect location if you want to rewind at your hotel room. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Huge rooms to be precise! Feels really luxurious for the amount you pay. There is a french restaurant in the ground floor were you eat breakfust. This is also above expectation and were a treat for us. They should advertise this more in the pictures! We are planning to come again when im bogota our next time!

Super nice staff. We arrived late and the hotel arranged an airport pickup and had someone waiting for us at arrivals. The staff are super nice and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Made to order with lots of options. Served in a beautiful restaurant. Located within walking distance of many restaurants and a nice brewpub. Loved it.
