Casa Lelyte Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Casa Lelyte on Calle 64, you immediately get the sense that this three-star boutique hotel knows exactly what it’s doing. The building has this understated charm that fits perfectly into Chapinero’s eclectic mix of residential streets and trendy spots. It’s not trying too hard to impress — which, honestly, makes it more impressive. The entrance feels intimate rather than grand, and you can tell right away that this place prioritizes personal attention over flashy amenities. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Location & Neighborhood

Chapinero is where Bogotá gets interesting, and Casa Lelyte sits right in the sweet spot of it all. You’re walking distance from Zona Rosa’s restaurants and nightlife, but tucked away enough that you actually get some peace at night. The couples who stay here absolutely love this balance — I mean, there’s a reason they rate the location so highly. You can stroll to some of the city’s best cafés and galleries without dealing with the chaos of La Candelaria, and the TransMilenio connections make getting around the rest of Bogotá pretty straightforward. The neighborhood offers an ideal blend of urban convenience and residential tranquility.

The Rooms

The accommodations here strike that perfect middle ground between boutique character and practical comfort. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, with local touches that remind you you’re in Colombia without being heavy-handed about it. The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-marketing comfortable — and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t miss home. What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to keep street noise to a minimum, which isn’t always easy in this part of the city. The furnishings and décor create an inviting space that encourages relaxation after a day of sightseeing.

Breakfast & Dining

The American breakfast here is actually quite good, though don’t expect anything too elaborate. It’s the kind of solid, well-executed morning meal that sets you up properly for a day of exploring Bogotá. Fresh coffee (this is Colombia, after all), decent eggs, and enough variety to keep you satisfied. They clearly understand that breakfast should fuel your adventures, not become an adventure itself. The dining area has this relaxed vibe where you can plan your day without feeling rushed. The quality of ingredients and preparation demonstrates genuine care for guest satisfaction.

Why Guests Love It

Casa Lelyte works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. This isn’t a resort or a business hotel — it’s a well-run, comfortable base for exploring one of South America’s most fascinating capitals. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience, and the location really is as good as everyone says it is. You know what? Sometimes the best hotels are the ones that just get the basics absolutely right, then add enough personality to make you remember why you chose them in the first place. This upscale boutique property delivers on its promise of authentic hospitality.

  • Brian from United States (9/10)

Excellent fresh breakfast. Great location to walk to restaurants and cafes in neighborhood and also a short taxi ride to zona T and all shopping areas. Coming from hot summer weather bogota was the best place to "chill"

  • Rebecca from United States (9/10)

The staff is so kind and welcoming. They took care of us so well. The breakfast Carmen made each day was delicious and the dinners at the restaurant were the best we had in all of Bogotá. The room and common areas were gorgeous and the area was extremely convenient and trendy.

  • Deborah from United States (9/10)

Casa Lelyte only has four rooms, so it feels intimate and quaint. The breakfast was always delicious and included a yogurt parfait (with fruit and granola), fresh squeezed juice, coffee/tea, eggs, and bread/arepa. The details of the space, including the plants and art, were nice and relaxing. The location is close to good dining in Zona G and environs.

  • Sandra from France (8/10)

The room was simply furnished. It was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit with yoghurt and seeds, mandarin juice, and eggs (fried or scrambled) with bread or arepa, coffee – all freshly prepared and delicious. The restaurant is also open in the evenings and the food is excellent!

  • Elizabeth from United States (9/10)

The furnishings and style of the hotel are so adorable, clean and beautiful! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
