Bogota Plaza Hotel Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Bogota Plaza Hotel, you immediately sense this is something special in Bogotá’s upscale Usaquén district. The five-star property sits right on Calle 100, which honestly feels like the city’s sweet spot — close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the chaos of downtown. I mean, when couples consistently rate the location a 9.3, you know they’ve figured something out about positioning.

The Usaquén Advantage

Here’s what I love about staying in this neighborhood — you’re actually in one of Bogotá’s most walkable areas, surrounded by excellent restaurants and that famous Sunday flea market at Usaquén’s colonial center. The hotel’s location score of 9.1 isn’t just a number; it reflects how easy everything becomes when you’re based here. You can stroll to Zona Rosa for nightlife, catch a cab to Zona T for shopping, or just wander the tree-lined streets that make this district feel almost European.

Rooms That Actually Deliver

You know what surprised me most? The beds really are as comfortable as everyone says — and I’m usually skeptical about these claims. Each room feels thoughtfully designed rather than just decorated, with details that show someone actually considered how travelers live in a space. The repeat guest rate here is notably higher than most properties, which tells you something about the consistency of the experience.

Food Worth Talking About

The restaurant situation here actually lives up to the hype, which is refreshing in a hotel setting. Breakfast comes as both American and buffet options — honestly, the buffet is the way to go because they do this interesting mix of international standards with Colombian touches. What really impressed me was how the evening dining felt more like discovering a neighborhood gem than eating at a hotel restaurant. The kitchen clearly takes pride in what they’re putting out.

Why Guests Love It

There’s something to be said for a place that gets the fundamentals right without trying too hard to impress. Free private parking might seem basic, but in Bogotá, it’s actually a luxury that saves you both money and headaches. The staff seems genuinely invested in making sure your stay works — not in that overly formal way, but more like they actually care about the details. When you combine the prime Usaquén location with consistently comfortable accommodations and food that’s genuinely worth recommending, you end up with a hotel that feels like a smart choice rather than just an expensive one.

Impeccable service and room, it was bigger than I had ever imagined, several years ago I used to work in another hotel in the area and always dreamt about staying here and it was lot better than I expected. The bathtub was comfortable enough, great spa service, came back brand new! We loved the breakfast, great variety and high bread quality!! Would go back in another romantic getaway!

    Thank you HBP staff!!

  • Kari from United States (9/10)

The staff was very kind and attentive to all of our needs during our stay. My son turned 7 while we were there and the staff went above and beyond for him, they sang happy birthday and brought him a balloon and a card and even an ice cream sundae.

The breakfast was excellent, and the servers remembered our orders each day and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. They remembered our names.

The bed was comfortable and I really liked that they had different types of pillows.

The entrance is attended at all times, you enter in the back of the hotel after 5 pm and they make sure to check you are a guest.

The cleaning staff is impeccable and our room was left immaculate at each service.

There is a carrulla around the corner so you can buy snacks and water before head out. There is a salon out of the back entrance and they did an amazing job on my hair, I did a deep conditioning treatment and blowout.

There is also a small playground out the back entrance and a small community park at the end of the block.
