Ayenda Abitare 56 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ayenda Abitare 56, you immediately get the sense that this three-star hotel punches above its weight. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that feels more upscale than you’d expect for the price point — honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff greets you with genuine warmth, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I actually appreciate more than hotels that oversell themselves.
Location & Neighborhood
The location in Chapinero is honestly one of the best things about this place. You’re right on Calle 56, which puts you in the heart of one of Bogotá’s most vibrant neighborhoods — think trendy cafes, bookstores, and that perfect mix of residential charm and urban energy. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot a 9.1, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to Zona Rosa in about ten minutes, and the TransMilenio stations are close enough that getting around the city is actually pretty easy. Plus, Chapinero has this great mix of local life and expat-friendly spots that makes it feel authentic but accessible.
The Room Experience
Here’s where Ayenda Abitare 56 really delivers — the beds are genuinely comfortable, and I’m someone who usually struggles with hotel mattresses. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with that simple, functional design that works perfectly for travelers who want comfort without unnecessary frills. You know what I noticed? The attention to details like good lighting and adequate storage space, which sounds basic but makes such a difference when you’re actually living in the space for a few days. The bathrooms are compact but efficient, and everything feels recently updated.
Breakfast & Dining
The buffet breakfast is solid — not groundbreaking, but it covers all the basics and then some. You’ll find a good mix of Colombian staples and international options, which is perfect if you’re traveling with someone who’s hesitant about local cuisine. The coffee is actually quite good (this is Colombia, after all), and they keep the breakfast area well-stocked throughout the morning hours. I appreciated that they didn’t try to overcomplicate things — sometimes a straightforward, well-executed breakfast is exactly what you need before heading out to explore the city.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this hotel apart is how it manages to feel both professional and welcoming without any pretense. The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense when you consider the combination of that fantastic Chapinero location, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and staff who seem to actually care about your experience. It’s the kind of place where everything just works — you’re not dealing with quirky issues or wondering if you made the right choice. For travelers who want to be in the thick of Bogotá’s cultural scene without paying premium prices, Ayenda Abitare 56 hits that sweet spot perfectly.

friendly staff, great location.
Leidy from United States (9/10)
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. It is a central location, so expect it to be loud during the work day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the location to be good and close to restaurants and some attractions, but it's a bit far from La Candeleria.
Kurt from Saint Lucia (8/10)
Very good location. The room was a bit small but comfortable. Good value for money. Lots of food and shopping options in walking distance.

The hotel is very nice clean and safe, It is a good barrio called"Chapinero", it is not close to downtown but is easier to move to the diffent parts in the city. Breakfast is excellent and sufficient,. fruit, eggs, bread, juice and coffee. the ladies preparing of meals are very kind.

Very comfortable room and accommodating staff. Clean. A TV that provided channels you would actually want to watch (an increasing rarity in hotels). Good hot water and water pressure in the shower. Good security.
