Apartamento en la Candelaria, Centro de Bogotá

Apartamento en la Candelaria, Centro de Bogotá Overview

First Impressions

Staying at Apartamento en la Candelaria, Centro de Bogotá honestly caught me off guard in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place in the historic center, but the moment I arrived, it just felt right — like the kind of spot that doesn’t need to shout about itself. The building fits naturally into the neighborhood, which is exactly what you want when you’re staying in La Candelaria. It’s unpretentious, comfortable, and genuinely welcoming.

Location & Neighborhood

The address on Calle 17 puts you right in the thick of old Bogotá, and I mean that in the best possible sense. You’re walking distance from the Plaza de Bolívar, the Gold Museum, and those narrow colonial streets that are honestly more interesting to wander than any guidebook makes them sound. Couples especially seem to love this spot — and I get it, because there’s something romantic about being tucked into a neighborhood with this much history and character. Grab a coffee from one of the little spots nearby and just walk. You’ll figure out why people rate the location so highly.

The Apartment

This isn’t a standard hotel room setup, which is sort of the whole point. You get an actual apartment feel — more space, a bit more privacy, and that sense that you’re living in the city rather than just passing through it. It’s well put together without being over-designed, if that makes sense. The kind of place where you actually want to spend time in the room, not just sleep there. Recent guests have been giving it near-perfect scores, and honestly, after staying there, I understand why.

The Experience Day to Day

Mornings here have a nice rhythm to them. La Candelaria wakes up gradually — street vendors, students heading to the nearby universities, the occasional tour group making their way toward the museums. Because you’re in an apartment rather than a hotel, you can move at your own pace without feeling like you’re on anyone else’s schedule. It’s a small thing, but it makes a real difference over a few days. I mean, that flexibility is part of what makes this style of accommodation work so well for travelers who actually want to explore.

Why Guests Love It

The rating of 9.6 isn’t an accident — this place earns it through consistency and a genuine sense of care. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, and that’s actually refreshing. For couples especially, there’s a real appeal to staying somewhere that feels personal and rooted in the city rather than generic and interchangeable. Bogotá’s historic center can feel overwhelming if you don’t have a solid base, and Apartamento en la Candelaria, Centro de Bogotá gives you exactly that. Well-located, well-run, and the kind of place you’d quietly recommend to someone you actually like.

Apartments in Bogota suit remote teams with floor-to-ceiling windows, security lobbies, and on-site barista bars.
