Apartaestudio, La Candelaria-Centro Histórico, wifi Overview

First Impressions

La Candelaria is one of those neighborhoods that hits you the moment you step outside — cobblestone streets, colonial architecture, street art on every corner, and the kind of energy that makes you feel like you’re actually in Bogotá, not just passing through it. Staying at Apartaestudio, La Candelaria-Centro Histórico, wifi puts you right in the middle of all that, which honestly is either exactly what you want or exactly what you don’t. If you’re the kind of traveler who likes to walk out the door and immediately be somewhere interesting, this place makes a lot of sense.

Location & Neighborhood

Calle 17 in the historic center is genuinely well-placed — you’re within easy walking distance of the Museo del Oro, Plaza Bolívar, and the Chorro de Quevedo, which is this little square that gets lively in the evenings with locals and students. The area is dense with history, and you’ll find yourself stumbling onto things you didn’t plan to see, which is sort of the best way to experience this city. Recent guests have rated the location really highly, and I get it — couples especially seem to love being this close to everything without needing to figure out taxis or the TransMilenio every time they want to go somewhere.

The Space

This is a three-star apartaestudio setup, so you’re not getting a full-service hotel experience — and that’s kind of the point. You’ve got your own space, a bit of independence, and the kind of setup that works well if you’re staying a few nights and want to feel like you actually live here for a bit. It’s practical and comfortable rather than flashy, which suits the neighborhood perfectly. The wifi is included, which matters more than people admit when you’re trying to navigate a new city or just decompress at the end of a long day of walking.

The Vibe for Two

Honestly, this place seems to really click for couples — and you can see why. La Candelaria has this romantic, slightly worn-around-the-edges charm that a lot of newer parts of Bogotá just don’t have. You can grab a coffee at one of the small cafés nearby in the morning, spend the afternoon wandering through museums or up toward Monserrate, and find a decent spot for dinner without going far at all. It’s the kind of trip where the neighborhood does a lot of the heavy lifting, and the apartaestudio gives you a comfortable base to come back to.

Why Guests Love It

What keeps people coming back to a place like this — or at least rating it a 9 out of 10 — is usually a combination of things that are hard to fake: a location that actually delivers, a space that feels honest about what it is, and the sense that you made a smart choice. Apartaestudio, La Candelaria-Centro Histórico, wifi isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and in a city as layered and interesting as Bogotá, that kind of straightforwardness is genuinely refreshing. If you want to be close to the heart of the city without paying for things you don’t need, this is a solid pick.
