AC – Living 58 – Chapinero – Apartasuites Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked into AC – Living 58 – Chapinero – Apartasuites, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone — it’s quite a mouthful. But you know what? This three-star aparthotel in Bogotá surprised me in the best way possible. The lobby feels more like a modern residential building than a traditional hotel, which makes sense once you realize you’re essentially getting your own temporary apartment in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The staff greeted me warmly, and I could immediately tell this wasn’t going to be your typical cookie-cutter hotel experience.
The Chapinero Advantage
Location-wise, you really can’t do much better than this spot in Chapinero. I mean, this neighborhood is where young Bogotanos actually want to hang out — it’s got that perfect mix of trendy cafés, local bars, and authentic Colombian life that you just don’t find in the more touristy areas. Walking around, I noticed couples everywhere, which makes total sense given how romantic some of the tree-lined streets can be, especially in the evenings. The Zona Rosa is just a short walk away when you want nightlife, but you’re also close enough to more residential streets where you can grab groceries or just people-watch from a sidewalk café.
Your Home Away From Home
The room — well, it’s really more of a studio apartment — exceeded my expectations for a three-star property. You get a proper kitchenette with everything you need to make breakfast or even a simple dinner, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money during my stay. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, with decent furnishings that actually look like someone put thought into them. The bed was comfortable enough, and I appreciated having a separate seating area where I could work on my laptop without feeling cramped. Storage space was adequate, though not generous — but for a week-long stay, it worked perfectly fine.
Daily Life and Practicalities
What I really appreciated was how easy it became to settle into a routine here. There’s no formal restaurant on-site, but with that kitchenette and the neighborhood’s incredible food scene right outside your door, you honestly don’t need one. I found myself grabbing fresh arepas from a street vendor in the morning, then cooking simple meals in the evening while planning the next day’s adventures. The building feels secure, and I never had any issues with noise or safety — something that can be a concern in busy Bogotá neighborhoods.
Why Guests Love It
After spending time here, I totally understand why couples rate this place so highly. There’s something intimate about having your own little space in such a dynamic neighborhood, and the aparthotel setup means you can be as social or as private as you want. You’re not dealing with crowded hotel lobbies or fighting for breakfast tables — instead, you’re living like a temporary local in one of Bogotá’s coolest areas. For the price point, you’re getting genuine value and a taste of authentic Colombian urban life that most hotels just can’t offer.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in Bogota before ciclovia Sundays fill boutique stays with cyclists.

The Studio is an average room like many other rooms in Bogotá. The problem is that the administrating company is charging unannounced extras fees without giving you the option to decline the fees or to cancel the reservation.
